Great recipes written plainly, and easy to understand. Fantastic photography of the great vincent price and his lovely wife. Wonderful anecdotes from a traveling gourmand. Get it for the history of world food, get it for the great photography of a film icon, get it to learn how to cook anything, just get it already!
Arrived in great condition and as stated in description. What an interesting and unique cookbook by two amazing people! I'm really enjoying reading this treasury of global recipes, restaurant menus, and photos of said restaurants. The Prices' enthusiasm for extraordinary food and it's presentation is infectious.

These recipes are not necessarily complex eith er. In the preface they state "the recipes in this treasury are (for the most part) never grand, not too difficult and well within your ability and budget to achieve". My favorite is a very simple risotto recipe that is SOOOO simple and will get you rave reviews.

It now seems clear that one of the reasons this book has become a classic is not merely the recipes.
This came from one of my favorite cookbooks, "A Treasury of Great Recipes" by Mary and Vincent Price. The ingredients are nearly identical to other recipes listed here but the preparation, cooking, and presentation techniques are different. They make great appetizers, even at room temperature or just gobble them around the stove.
