It will not take long until the water reduces from 4 cups to 1½ to 2 cups. at that stage its color will be changed and it will be ready to be served. Strain it (chaan lain) and serve warm.

For the Pulao. Add ghee to a pressure cooker on medium high and allow it to heat up. Once hot, add cumin, cloves, peppercorn, cardamom, green chillies, cinnamon and bay leaf. Saute for 1–2 minutes or until fragrant. Add sliced onions and fry on medium heat until golden brown, 2–4 minutes.

Soak rice in water for half an hour. Than Cook mutton with garlic cloves, green chilies, little bit salt and water till tender and so much so that it left with 2–3cups of stock in it.
